Vizbl MCP Server: Tools reference
All tools exposed by the Vizbl MCP server, with their main parameters.
You don’t call these tools yourself: the AI assistant picks them based on your request. This reference helps you understand what the assistant can do and what information it may ask you for.
Guides and planning
| Tool | What it does | Main parameters |
|---|---|---|
get_guide | Returns the official Vizbl guide for a topic. The assistant reads it before explaining how Vizbl works. | topic: getting_started, installation, domain_setup, tokens_and_billing, tryon_types, wallart_dimensions, generation_3d, troubleshooting, converter, scenes |
estimate_costs | Estimates monthly token spend from catalogue size and traffic. Results are in tokens only, never currency. | product (core-ar, wallart, rugs, flooring, ai-try-on), monthly_visitors; optional catalog_size, engagement_rate (default 0.1), models_per_session, avg_photos_per_session, attempts_per_session |
Files and 3D models
| Tool | What it does | Main parameters |
|---|---|---|
create_public_upload_url | Hosts a local file on Vizbl’s public upload share and returns an https URL for it. Used when a file is on your computer but a tool needs a URL. No Vizbl account needed. | file_name, file_size, file_type; object_key to re-sign an expired upload URL |
convert_3d_model | Converts and optimises a 3D or CAD file into GLB, USDZ or FBX. Returns a job id. Costs no tokens. | file_url, target_format (glb, usdz, fbx); optional optimize (default on), simplify_ratio (default 0.5), texture_size (default 2048), compression (meshopt, draco, none) |
create_upload_url | Creates a presigned upload session for a model file in your Vizbl workspace. Core AR accepts GLB, GLTF, USDZ, FBX, OBJ and ZIP. | file_name, file_size, file_type |
upload_model | Creates and publishes a 3D model in Core AR. Each variant uses an upload id or an https URL. Returns an import job id. | name, variants (the first one is the main variant); optional mechanic (floor, wall, ceiling, all), category, description, tags |
get_job_status | Checks a long-running conversion or import. Can wait up to 90 seconds per call. | job_type (convert, import, generation), job_id; optional wait |
delete_model | Permanently deletes a published object. Buttons and AR links using it stop working immediately, so the assistant confirms with you first. | tinuuid |
Sharing and installation
| Tool | What it does | Main parameters |
|---|---|---|
get_ar_link | Builds the public link that opens a product in AR on a phone. | object_id (tinuuid); optional hid for a specific collection or variant |
get_qr | Renders a QR code for an AR link, for print, packaging and product cards. | object_id (with optional hid) or a ready url |
get_widget_snippet | Builds the HTML for an AR button on a product card: the one-per-site bootstrap script plus the button with the Object ID. | object_id; optional button_type (app, native, viewer), label (default “View in 3D”), css_class, hid |
generate_wallart_buttons | Generates Wall Art try-on buttons from a product list and validates the physical print size. Wall Art has no catalogue: the artwork URL and size travel in the button markup. | items: title, image_url, width, height, unit (cm, in); optional pixel size for an aspect-ratio check |
Tip: width and height in Wall Art are the physical print size, not the image resolution. Wrong dimensions are the most common Wall Art issue. See How to choose image for Vizbl WallArt.
